Terms and Conditions - Clean Manager : File Organizer

By installing, accessing, or using Clean Manager: File Organizer (“the App,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not install or use the App.

1. The App

Clean Manager: File Organizer is an Android application designed to help you review and manage storage on your device.

The App may provide features to identify junk files, duplicate and similar files, large files and videos, downloaded files, APK installers, empty folders, and storage usage by category. It may also include a feature for requesting Android to stop cached background processes.

You are responsible for reviewing the information presented by the App and deciding which files or items to remove.

2. Licence to Use the App

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, limited licence to install and use the App on devices you own or are authorized to control, for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.

You must not:

  • Copy, modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the App except where permitted by applicable law.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except where such restrictions are prohibited by law.
  • Sell, rent, sublicense, redistribute, or commercially exploit the App without our prior written permission.
  • Remove or alter copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.
  • Use the App to damage devices, interfere with services, violate applicable laws, or harm other people.

We reserve all rights not expressly granted under these terms.

3. Your Files and Deletions

The App helps you identify files that may be suitable for removal. You remain responsible for deciding which files to delete.

Review Before Deleting: The App is designed to allow you to review and confirm file deletions before they are carried out. Always check the selected files carefully before confirming an action.

Permanent Data Loss: Deleted files may not be recoverable. Some deletions may bypass the recycle bin or other recovery mechanisms available on your device.

Back Up Important Files: You are responsible for maintaining backups of photos, videos, documents, audio files, and any other important data before using cleaning features.

Automated Detection: Identification of junk files, duplicates, similar files, and other cleanup candidates is automated and may be inaccurate. A file identified as unnecessary may still be important to you or another application.

Permissions: The App requests permissions required for its features. Some permissions, such as all-files access, may be optional. Denying or revoking permissions may limit the availability of certain features.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for data loss resulting from files you choose to delete or actions you confirm in the App.

4. Device Performance

The amount of storage you can free and any changes in device speed, responsiveness, or battery consumption depend on your device, operating system, installed applications, and usage patterns.

We do not guarantee any particular improvement in storage, speed, battery life, or overall performance.

The background process management feature may request Android to stop cached applications or processes where supported. Android may restart those applications or processes automatically. The App does not guarantee that stopping background processes will improve performance or battery life.

5. Advertisements and Third-Party Services

The App is free to use and may display advertisements provided by third-party advertising services.

Advertisements, external links, and third-party services may be subject to separate terms, privacy policies, and conditions. We do not control all third-party content, products, services, or privacy practices and, to the extent permitted by applicable law, are not responsible for them.

Your interactions with third-party services are governed by the applicable providers' terms and policies.

6. Updates, Changes, and Availability

We may release updates, modify features, introduce new functionality, suspend certain features, or discontinue the App, subject to applicable law.

We do not guarantee that the App will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or free from errors. We may perform maintenance or make changes that temporarily affect functionality.

Where required by applicable law, we will provide notices or obtain consent for material changes.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its name, design, interface, graphics, logos, text, software, and other content, is owned by the App developer or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These terms do not transfer ownership of the App or its intellectual property to you.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties or guarantees of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.

To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will meet all your requirements, identify every unnecessary file correctly, operate without interruption, or prevent data loss.

Nothing in this section excludes any warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, files, profits, business opportunities, or device performance arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims arising from the App or these terms will not exceed the amount you paid specifically for the App during the applicable period. For the free version, this amount is zero.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including any mandatory consumer protections.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.

We may suspend or terminate your permission to use the App if you materially breach these terms or use the App unlawfully, subject to applicable law.

Upon termination, your licence to use the App ends. Provisions that by their nature should continue after termination, including Sections 3, 7, 8, 9, and 12, will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

Uninstalling the App may remove locally stored app data. Information previously processed by third-party providers may remain subject to their respective retention policies.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in the App, our services, applicable laws, or business practices.

The updated terms will be published on this page with a revised effective date.

Where required by applicable law, we will notify you of material changes or request your agreement. Your continued use of the App after updated terms take effect constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
